ISLAND STYLE 2011 RECITAL "HO'IKE"

Student Arrival Time:  

All students must arrive at 4:10pm in costume for a cast meeting and show run through.

Guest Arrival Time: 

5:15-5:25pm

Recital Begins: 

5:30pm (will end approximately 6:30pm)

Place: 

Orem Seinior Friendship Center

93 North 400 East, Orem

Recital Fee:
Students who will be participating are required to pay a $10.00 (per dancer) recital fee to help cover the cost of renting the building.  No cost for guests.

The purpose of the recital, or ho'ike, is to give the students and opportunity to perform on stage, and to give family and friends the opportunity to see what the students have learned.
This will be a casual event, so come and enjoy!

Costume Information

Guys Costume Information:

• Solid black t-shirt (optional)
• Black Sarong
• Black biker shorts under sarong

Costume (Dress) Information

Child Size Patterns:

• New Look pattern #6478
• Make dress with no ruffle or pockets at least 3" below the knee with halter straps.

Youth and Adult pattern:

• Simplicity pattern #5561 (order this online @  http://www.amazon.com/Simplicity-Pattern-5561-Occasion-4-6-8-10/dp/B000MU1PK2) 
• Add: "Marilyn Monroe" style halter strap, and slits on both sides from hem to 1" above knee.
• Length: a little longer than mid-calf (tea length)
• Make dress loose enough so you can sit in "sit down" and "cross-legged" position without ripping your dress.
